As your life coaches, we do not separate work from worship, secular from sacred. Although we offer practical help for your family, ministry, or business, the GLC model assures that we address spiritual issues, too.
Christian life coaching is about God's agenda. Great Light Coaching utilizes a life coaching model that will keep you moving ahead and making real progress. God desires for us to abide in His presence. We have discovered that there is no other way to transition into the God life without first being able to hear and obey the voice of the Lord.
As God's Word says, your body is also the temple of the Holy Spirit. Jesus not only desires to walk with you, but He desires to live in you. You house the Spirit of the living God as His earthly temple. You are the dwelling place of God among men.
Many coaches assist in the area of the physical body. Great Light Coaching is interested in the inner parts of the soul and spirit. Many times, because of the difficulty in dividing the soul and the spirit, it becomes hard to tell who is really in control. It is a strange paradox, but sometimes our own intentions and motives are even hidden from us. The Bible says that no man knows his own heart. But our thoughts are never hidden from God.
In the Old Testament, a model of the temple has been established. It is a three-part structure comprised of the Outer Court, the Inner Court and the Holy of Holies. Man is also a three-part structure, composed of the body, soul, and the spirit.

Only the Word of God can separate man’s soul from his spirit. It can reveal the true thoughts and attitudes of the heart. We know that to live the elevated “zoetic” life, God’s Spirit must connect and control the spirit of man.
Look at the diagram of the tabernacle (above), and find the altar of incense located just in front of the Holy of Holies. Incense represents the prayers of the saints (Rev 8:3-5). This is one of our primary focuses in coaching.
We help you to be able to train your emotions to be subject to your spirit through prayer and intercession. In order to find out who we are and the work God has designed for us, we must learn to bow our knee to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and inquire of the Lord. We also believe that it is through prayer and worship that God imparts creative solutions to practical needs.
One of my favorite authors, Kevin J. Connor, describes the process this way in the Tabernacle of Moses:
The very highest and closest ministry in the Church is the ministry of prayer, supplication and intercession, that worship which is in Spirit and in Truth…The true incense is that which arises from the believer’s heart, ascending within the Heavenly Sanctuary. It is that incense that comes by way of our Great High Priest, Jesus Christ.
Therefore, the Great Light Coaching model can be described as a journey through the temple, and we help you learn to travel light. We will begin at the altar (the cross) where we will leave our excess baggage. Our final destination is the Holy of Holies where the glory of the Lord resides.
We believe that if we draw near to God, He will draw near to us. If we open up the door of our hearts and allow Him real relationship with us, He will open up the heavens and allow us true access to the throne of God.
Jesus says, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on His throne.” (Revelations 3:19-22)
This is truly a higher calling. God is not only building your individual temple, but collectively He is building the healthy Body of Christ of which He is the head.
